Is PDF2Audio free?
Every new account includes 50,000 free characters, roughly 15 to 25 pages of text. If your first PDF is longer, the first ~20 minutes are converted free so you can hear it before you decide. After that you can buy a single document, a credit pack or a monthly plan.
Can I download the audio as an MP3?
Yes. Every finished conversion can be downloaded as an MP3 and played on any phone, computer or car stereo. It also stays in your library, and you can share it with a link.
Which languages and voices are available?
You can choose from 18 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese, and from 13 natural-sounding AI voices.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
It needs a PDF with selectable text: if you can highlight and copy the words in your PDF reader, it will work. Scanned pages that are only images are not supported yet, so run them through an OCR tool first.
How long does it take, and how big can my PDF be?
Most documents are ready in one to three minutes; very long ones take longer. You can upload PDFs of up to 10 MB with up to about 2 million characters of text.
